The Gents & Liars are a high-energy six-piece band washed in outlaw country and GROOVE. They have spent the last 8 years woodshedding first-class harmonies and songwriting. The Gents & Liars are proud to have shared a stage with national acts such as Jelly Roll, Struggle Jennings, Chase Matthew, Logan Crosby, and the War Hippies, and booked major events including the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Farmer City Heritage Days, and Carowinds Emerging Artists Music Series. BIO Vern Daysel:

From a small town on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa, it’s been a lifelong dream for Vern Daysel to one day live and work as a musician in the US. For fifteen years, he etched his name into the fabric of the South African music scene, fueled by an unyielding passion for his craft.

In 2019, Vern’s dream was finally realized when he seized the opportunity to immigrate to the United States. Settling in Florida, he brought with him not only his talent but also the same relentless work ethic that had propelled him thus far. As a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, Vern Daysel’s musical prowess knows no bounds. Critics and fans alike have lauded Vern Daysel’s distinctive sound—a harmonious fusion of blues, soul, and southern rock. Classic Rock Magazine aptly describes his music as “blues-soaked soulful southern rock,” a testament to his ability to evoke emotion and transcend genres. Influenced by the timeless allure of classic rock and the gritty honesty of outlaw country, Vern seamlessly incorporates elements from a myriad of musical styles, creating a sound that is uniquely his own. Currently, Vern is in the process of releasing new music with his band ‘Vern Daysel & The Burning Breeze’.
